Scenario Refresh functionality | Digital Advice:
Under Digital Advice >> Scenarios, you can refresh your current/existing scenarios in cases when there is a change in Fact Find data (assets, liabilities, income, expense, etc.) The scenario refresh functionality will allow you to update your existing strategies with the latest Fact Find data and you won’t be required to create a new scenario every time there is a change in the Fact Find data.
Refresh Fact Find data button is given on the lower right side of the scenario card, once refreshed the Fact Find data will be updated for that scenario only. Please remember this action can’t be reverted.
When you click on the Scenario Refresh button, there are three possible cases:
- No Fact Find changes:
In this case, there are no changes in the Fact Find data (like assets, liabilities, income, expenses) of the client after you have created a scenario. So, if you press this button, there will just be an information popup saying, “Scenario data has the latest factfind values, there is nothing to refresh.
- Fact Find data has changed but has no impact on the Scenario strategies:
In this case, the Fact Find data (like assets, liabilities, income, expenses) of the client has changed after you have created a scenario. But it doesn’t have any impact on the strategies in the scenario. However, it might have an impact on the attached template.
So, in this case, your template data will be refreshed, and all the manual edits made in the “preview” mode will be reset.
You will get appropriate notifications when you first press this button. The first pop-up will say “Factfind data refresh might have an impact on the Template data. Any edits made in the Factfind data will be refreshed. Are you sure you want to proceed?”
Once you click on proceed you will get a final confirmation pop-up stating “Changes in the Factfind data will update the values in the scenario as well as in the templates. These changes cannot be reverted. Please click update to confirm.”
Once you have selected the “update” button, the changes will be applied to the scenario and this step cannot be reverted. The scenario factfind date will also change accordingly.
- Fact Find data is changed and have an impact on the Scenario strategies:
In this case, you have changed the Fact Find data (like assets, liabilities, income, expense) of the client after you have created a scenario. It has an impact on the strategies in the scenario and it might have an impact on the attached template.
So, in this case, also, your template data will be refreshed, and all the manual edits made in the “preview” mode will be reset. Template output will be re-generated as per the latest template codes available.
We will also be displaying the names of the strategies where there is an impact of the Fact Find data in the scenario along with the error message. You are required to review the scenario in this case.
You will get appropriate notifications when you first press this button. The first pop-up will say “Factfind data refresh might have an impact on the Template data. Any edits made in the Factfind data will be refreshed. It also has an impact on the below-mentioned strategies in the “scenario name”. It needs to be reviewed. “Impacted strategies name” Are you sure you want to proceed?”
Once you click on proceed you will get a final confirmation pop-up stating “Changes in the Factfind data will update the values in the scenario as well as in the templates. These changes cannot be reverted. Please click update to confirm.”
Once you have selected the “update” button, the changes will be applied to the scenario and this step cannot be reverted. The scenario factfind date will also change accordingly.
After this, you will see highlighted strategies that are impacted by the update and the scenario will remain incomplete until you review the scenario.
