Marking client or partner as deceased

If a client or partner is deceased, you'll want to update your client file in AdviserLogic to show this. This article will explain our standard procedure, which is to split the two records and then change the Status of the deceased.

Note: You will need access to Administration Tools in order to use this feature.

Step One

Split the client and partner into two separate files. Instructions on this can be found in this help article.

Step Two

Locate the deceased person's new record, and go to Fact Finder > Basic Information. Find the drop-down field for "Status", and set this to Hidden.


This prevents the client record from appearing in the Quick Search, and in most Database Segments. You can still access the client using the Full Client Search and changing the Status filter to "All".
