You can handle issues related to duplicate client easily with the following feature in AdviserLogic
Scenario I :
If you have a Duplicate client or partner record either Active or hidden and you are trying to update it. You will get three options in Pop Up message.
- Proceed Anyway: This option will let you save the details which you are updating in a duplicate client or partner.
- Take me to the duplicate: This option will open the other duplicate client or partner in your account and you can keep or delete the duplicate record.
- Take me to the Client Merger Tool: This option would take you to the Client Merger tool to merge both duplicate client records.
Scenario II :
If you have a Duplicate client or partner record either Active or Hidden, and you are attempting to save a new client record with same client details; then you will get a pop up message with the following two options:
- Take me to the duplicate: It should open a new client tab and display the duplicate record for you to check.
If there is more than one duplicate in the Recycle Bin, a list of all the duplicate records will be present; showing some key details and User can select which one to restore. Once restored, you will not experience the 'duplicate' issue relating to this client record and the duplicates still in the recycle bin ever again.
- Cancel: This would take you back to the unsaved new client screen, and you will see a red-text message saying "Unable to save this client while a Duplicate exists." If you will click on Save again, the above process will repeat.
Scenario III:
If Duplicate client record is in the Recycle Bin and user is attempting to save a new client record (not editing an existing one). Following message will pop up providing two options.
- Restore this from the Recycle Bin: Selecting this option will restore the client record from Recycle bin, and will open it in a new client tab and will display the duplicate record for you to use.
If there is more than one duplicate in the Recycle Bin, a list of all the duplicate records will be present; showing some key details and User can select which one to restore. Once restored, you should not experience the 'duplicate' issue relating to this client record and the duplicates still in the recycle bin ever again.
-Cancel: This would take you back to the unsaved new client screen, and you will see a red-text message saying "Unable to save this client while a Duplicate exists." If you will click Save again, the above process will repeat.
